Time to start construction of the S5
On Friday the Austrian-Polish consortium including Hydrobudowa Polska signed a contract for the construction of the S5 expressway along with the Bojanowo and Rawicz bypass. The contracts net value exceeds 777 million PLN.
The contract concerns a 27 kilometer section of the S5 expressway which constitutes the west bypass of Bojanowo and Rawicz (Greater Poland voivodeship). The contract also covers construction of the 9 kilometer section of the national road no 36 on the northern side of Rawicz. The project also includes the construction of: 4 road intersections (Kaczkowo, Bojanowo, Rawicz, Korzeńsko), 4 MS – motorway stations, and 35 engineering structures, such as over-passes, bridges and tunnels.
The investment will be carried out by a consortium created by ALPINE Bau, PBG, Aprivia and Hydrobudowa Polska. ALPINE Bau is the head construction company in Austria and a partner of Hydrobudowa Polska in the construction of three football stadiums for the Euro 2012 – in Poznań, Gdańsk and Warsaw.
The Austrian company acting as the consortium’s leader will be responsible for the execution of 60% of works related to the construction of the Bojanowo and Rawicz bypass. PBG, Aprivia and Hydrobudowa Polska, who are all part of the PBG group, will take care of 40% of the scope of work. The total net remuneration for the consortium is 777,2 million PLN (a gross sum of 948,2 million PLN), and the contract is to be concluded within 20 months, excluding winter periods (26 months including those periods).
After signing the contract for the Bojanowo and Rawicz bypass construction, the total net value of road contracts which will be carried out with the participation of Hydrobudowa Polska along with companies from the PBG group and foreign partners increased to nearly 3,7 billion PLN, which is a gross sum of almost 4,5 billion PLN.
