Plant in Gdańsk Szadółki completed
The consortium with Hydrobudowa Polska as a leader completed the construction of the waste disposal plant in Gdańsk Szadółki, worth nearly the net amount of PLN 300 million.
The modern trash, compost, biogas plant and the new sector for waste of approximately 12 acres - are the most important elements of the completed development of the Recycling Plant in Gdańsk. This investment was implemented by Hydrobudowa Polska in joint venture with a subsidiary - Hydrobudowa 9, a strategic investor - PBG, the Construction Corporation Doraco and a French partner - Vauche.
The contract of net value of PLN 299 mln was launched in August 2008 and completed in accordance with the Contract in May this year. On June 6, there was an official opening of the plant, attended, among others, by Paweł Adamowicz, the Mayor of Gdańsk.
The successful completion of the project in Gdańsk Szadółki is an important step in the development of the company in a promising waste management market. Hydrobudowa Poland will be able to use experience and references gained while applying for and implementing new investments of this type. Currently, the company is involved in several smaller tenders for the construction or modernization of waste management plants, each worth tens of millions.
Hydrobudowa Polska also sees its chances as a contractor or subcontractor in the construction of an incineration plant. The value of the domestic construction market of thermal waste incineration plants is estimated at over PLN 5 billion by 2015.
