The stadium in Gdańsk was constructed based on a contract concluded in April of 2009 by a consortium comprised of Hydrobudowa Polska (the leader), Hydrobudowa 9, and companies of the ALPINE group. All primary construction works were completed in accordance with the contract in Spring this year and between April and May the structure was submitted for acceptance. The acceptance procedures, carried out by building control, the labor inspectorate, sanitary inspectorate and the fire service, were accompanied by final finishing and cleaning works, and the adjustment of individual systems. Many weeks of thorough inspections and tests which preceded granting a certificate of occupancy guarantee, that the stadium conforms with the most rigorous safety norms, as well as provides an appropriate level of comfort to over 42 thousand spectators.
The PGE Arena Gdańsk will not only be a sports facility, but also a center for entertainment and business – a perfect location to organize concerts, symposiums, conferences and other events.
