100 km of motorways in the orders portfolio
The Polish – Irish syndicate with participation of Hydrobudowa Polska has signed the contract for the construction of 35 km of A4 motorway on Wednesday. The contract accounts for over 1.43 milliards of PLN net (1.75 milliards PLN gross).
This is the biggest contract in range of value, signed by the syndicate with participation of Hydrobudowa Polska so far.The contract refers to the construction of almost 35 km of A4 motorway between Tarnów and Rzeszów, from node Krzyż to node Dębica Pustynia.Until Wednesday, the biggest investment realized by HBP was the construction of the National Stadium in Warsaw (total value of that contract is over 1.25 milliards of PLN net).
The 35 km long segment of A4 will be constructed in cooperation with the leading Irish company SIAC Construction (the syndicate leader), and the companies from the PBG group (Aprivia and PBG), which includes also Hydrobudowa Polska.SIAC is one of the oldest construction and engineering companies in Ireland, having wide references in the infrastructural, volumetric (commercial and residential) and energetical construction, environment protection and sport objects.Aprivia, on the other hand, is a company responsible for the road construction segment in the PBG group, which is getting more and more effective.
Irish and Polish part of the syndicate will be responsible for realization of 50% of works each.- Hydrobudowa Polska will be strongly engaged in realization of this task. The detailed allocation of works is not determined yet, but we expect that the incomes of our group from the contract may be a half of its value, and may even be higher – prognoses Jarosław Dusiło, the vice-president and financial director of Hydrobudowa Polska.- Taking into consideration the relatively short, 2-year long time for the construction of this segment of A4, the first revenues from the contract may be expected as early as in the third quarter of this year. Most of motorway incomes will be recognized in the next year – adds the vice-president.
The segment of A4 motorway, constructed by the Irish – Polish syndicate, will have two traffic lanes in each direction (plus the emergency lanes). The contract includes also the construction of 2 motorway nodes, 10 bridges and 5 motorway overpasses, 10 road overpasses, flyover over Wisłoka river, road airfield segment, 2 travellers service points and toll stations. The investor is the division of General Management of National Roads and Motorways in Rzeszów, and the project is co-financed from the European resources.
The road construction segment was the source of small percent of Hydrobudowa Polska group so far.In 2009 it was only 1.4% of consolidated sale. However, in this year the road construction share may be even from few to several percent, and will most probably increase in next year.- The activity diversification and strong entering into the road construction segment is our response to decreasing attractiveness, from our point of view, of the infrastructural engineering, connected with environment protection – points Jarosław Dusiło.Keep in mind, that in June the syndicates with participation of Hydrobudowa Polska have signed the contracts for the construction of A1 motorway segments between Toruń and Stryków (for 1.47 milliards of PLN net total). All told, the company will participate in the construction of almost 100 km of motorways.HBP belongs also to the syndicate, which is supposed to build the segment of S5 express road, being the ring road of Bojanów and Rawicz.Value of that project is over 777 millions of PLN net (the contract should be signed soon).
The HBP group does not abandon the environment protection market completely and monitors it, taking part in successive tenders. In July Hydrobudowa Polska has signed two small contracts, connected with the waste utilization – in Sosnowiec and Tarnowskie Góry (total value of those orders is 18.2 millions of PLN net). The syndicate of companies from the HBP group have presented the most beneficial offer for the realization of the next stage of transfer collectors for “Czajka” sewage treatment plant in Warsaw (including the tunnel under Vistula river) for 144.8 millions of PLN net.
